Equimillion Country Series

The Equimillion Country Series is a series of events featuring a new class of Equestrian called the Equimillion New Star Thoroughbred Class. The class is for horses that have retired from racing within the calendar year of the event.

Eg: Event date: 1st April 2024 – horse retired after 1st April 2023

Equimillion New Star Thoroughbred Class will launch into the Equimillion Country Series across New South Wales throughout EA affiliated events. Competitors will be able to win a share in $5000 in each class. 

Equimillion New Star Thoroughbred class competition entry fees apply and must be entered directly to the EA affiliated event featuring the NST class.

COMPETITION CLASS REQUIREMENTS

Dressage – Preliminary 1.2

The combination has to show the horses three paces at walk, trot and canter as well as smooth transitions within and between these paces.

Show Thoroughbred – Set Workout

The combination should move with balance, elegance, lightness, correctness, and with the right rhythm for the gait.

Showjumping – 80cm Course

The objective is to test the combination’s skill, accuracy and training over the sequence of jumps in the perfect time.  If any part of the obstacle is knocked down or if the horse refuses a jump Penalties are accumulated.

Eventing – EvA80

Testing the speed, stamina and jumping ability of the horse, as well as the rider’s knowledge of pace and the use of his horse over three phases dressage, cross-country and show jumping.

All competitors entering into these classes across the Equimillion Country Series must confirm that the horse/s competing meet the Equimillion NSW eligibility.

Horse must have a base or full registration with EA and riders be members of their state branch.

A Retirement Certificate can be issued to the competitors on request by emailing equimillion@racingnsw.com.au and will be provided as proof of retirement date to the event.
